Meet Our Habitat Family
The Ivy Family

My name is Latasha Ivy. I am the mother of two wonderful boys, Antjuan, 10, and Deyontae, 3. Antjuan likes school and playing video games. He also wants to be a football player when he grows up. Deyontae loves going to the park, playing with cards and picking on his big brother.
I have a great job at Trinity Senior Community. I really enjoy helping people who need my help. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with the boys going to the park, playing basketball or staying in and watching movies.
In the last three years, we have moved three times. When I think of having a home of my own, I think of a sense of security and a safe, stable place to raise my sons.
We are very excited and thankful for this opportunity. I would like to thank Habitat for Humanity of Dane County and all the volunteers for making our dreams come true. This is truly a blessing and I am grateful to have a home to call my own.

HABITAT VOLUNTEERS!!
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU
The Habitat Church Build house is finally done. Our cluster parish volunteers have met all of Habitat’s requested work schedule in the most generous and skillful way. Our family, Latasha and her boys moved in November 29, 2010.
The Habitat Church Build committee extends its heartfelt thank you to all the people who gave their time and talent to help build the Habitat Church Build house for the Ivy family. Well over 280 volunteer days were worked by parishioners form the cluster parishes. Many volunteers worked multiple days. Some simply came without signing up because they could work it into their busy day at the last minute. Congratulations and thank you to all volunteers.
This year Dane County Habitat is celebrating both its 25th year and its 200th home and has appointed our parish cluster group of churches as a lead sponsor. Our surplus funds raised to build our Habitat Home in 2010 will be earmarked for this home. It is a special recognition that Dane County Habitat wanted a church group to have this distinction of helping to sponsor this 200th home at the Silver Eve Benefit Dinner, September 29, 2011 at the Alliant Energy Center.
Thank you for all your support in building our home and for continuing to support Habitat of Dane County. May God bless your fine work.

$65,000.00 GOAL EXCEEDED
|
|
BEFORE we could begin construction, we needed to raise $65,000.00 through Fundraisers, Donations and Gifts-in-Kind. As a Sponsor of this project, this was our PRIMARY TASK until February. There could be no construction project next year if we do not raise these funds. If you are waiting for the moment to help "Build" the home, wait no longer!
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
We are thrilled to not only have reached our goal but to have exceeded it by more then $10,000 before our deadline! The additional funds will be used to purchase an energy efficient washer and dryer (the other appliances are included) and a few essential items for the Ivy family. Any additional funds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Dane County for their future projects.
Thank you to all of the parish members of St Bernard, St Thomas Aquinas, St Martins, St Peters and St Francis Xavier that have made contributions and supported our fundraising efforts! Thank you also to our business sponsors; Fuzzy Side Up, Memorial Pet Services, Midwest Dental, Meriter Friends 4 Friends Program, Little Red Preschool, K & M Concrete and the Knights of Columbus Council #4549. Additional thanks to the many area businesses that donated items to our silent auction.
The generosity of the parishes and the local communities has been overwhelming and we feel truly blessed to be part of this project.
