Author and Professor Fred Bahnson says, "(G)ood liturgy... breaks your heart open and turns you toward God."
Our parish takes pride in beautiful liturgies that help us turn toward God. This takes coordinated planning, practice and participation.
Liturgical ministries include:
Server - At weekend Masses, ages fifth grade and older may serve.
Lector and Commentator - Proclaim the Word of God, read introduction and lead the Prayers of the Faithful.
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion - Assist in the distribution of Holy Communion.
Cantor - Help to lead the community in song.
Choir Member - Both Adult and Youth Choirs lead the community in song.
Usher - Serve in a role of hospitality and be prepared to offer any assistance needed.
Gift Bearer - Bring the gifts to the altar during Mass.
Behind the scenes, the Environment Committee decorates and prepares the worship space for the current liturgical season.
