Pastoral care is one of the primary responsibilities of a parish priest and his pastoral team do what they can to care for the members of our parish -- both spiritually and physically.
Much of pastoral care is based on the Works of Mercy. We try to meet people where they are in life and bring the Gospel message of hope, joy and forgiveness into everyday life.
Some examples of pastoral care work include:- Home visits - If you or someone you know is homebound and would like our pastoral associate to visit you or bring the Eucharist to your home, please call the parish office.
- Monthly communion services in local assisted living facilities
- Hospital visits
- Anointing of the sick - During times of illness, the Church offers the Sacrament of Healing and Anointing to bring the healing of mind, soul and body. While this sacrament is sometimes only viewed as necessary at the time of impending death, it is really a Sacrament available to anyone during the time of any illness.
- Light counseling and referrals, and
- Grief support
