Fr. Brian Dulli has been pastor at St. Patrick Parish in Cottage Grove for the last five years. He is the oldest of five children of Dr. Doug and Maria Dulli, who attend St. Thomas Aquinas parish in Madison. He was born in Burlington, Vermont. He said he was always in church on Sunday, but his faith came alive when he was a freshman at UW-Madison. He joined St. Paul's Students Center and heard the call to the priesthood and entered Mundelein Seminary in 2003. He was ordained for the Diocese of Madison in 2008 and served as parochial vicar at Sacred Hearts Parish in Sun Prairie through Christmas of 2010. At that time, Bishop Morlino gave him a temporary assignment to complete a Licentiate in Sacred Theology degree. He also helped at St. Joseph Parish in Baraboo on the weekends. In 2011, he was appointed pastor of St. Peter Parish in Ashton and St. Martin Parish in Martinsville. Four years later, he became pastor of St. William Church in Janesville. Some of his areas of focus in ministry will include helping St. John the Baptist Parish in Waunakee with their Hispanic Mass and St. Mary’s of Pine Bluff with their Latin Mass. He said he also loves the Catholic charismatic community, which resembles the way that he learned to pray in college. He will soon graduate from the Encounter School of Ministry, where “we grow in gifts of healing and prophecy.” In his other ministry time, he enjoys providing spiritual direction and confession. He faithfully visits the sick and homebound whenever he can. He likes all aspects of teaching and faith formation, especially youth ministry. He likes to read and write theology, and he even offers an occasional Youtube video on the faith. He also serves as the State Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus in Wisconsin.
