New Online Virtus Training and Compliance

It is the priority of St. Bernard parish, the Diocese of Madison and every Catholic institution to do everything possible to keep children and vulnerable adults safe. All adults employed by the parish or who volunteer with youth (minors) are required to pass a background check and complete the safe environment training through the nationally recognized Virtus program.

Barb Harrington is our Safe Environment coordinator, who oversees volunteer compliance.
New volunteers will need to create an account through Virtus, select St. Bernard Parish, Middleton as their primary organization and complete all requested background check information before having access to the required online training.

Go to the Virtus Online Registration module to begin the process for a background check and training.

At this time, all previously trained and cleared volunteers in good standing are able to continue volunteering. If you are unsure, inquire with our office to check your status.
